Comme un homme libre

Biography
Brought together by Joe (Les Breastfeeders), the pop rock quintet, Comme Un Homme Libre played their first gig at the 2002 Off Coup de Coeur Francophone, performing one single song, their version of Corbeau’s Illégal.
Comme Un Homme Libre, started getting known with their series of cover songs (Flirts, Pretenders, The Gogo’s, Sonics, Kinks, Headcoatees), playing mostly at Escogriffe and Le Swimming. They then started to appear on indie radio top 10 charts, when they released their mini EP in 2005.
With their sexy garage rock, influenced by synthetic pop, Comme Un Homme Libre has received invitations to play at numerous music festivals, notably, they played at the Festival de Musique Émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (2004), at the Pop Montreal festival (2004), at Les Francofolies de Montréal (2005), and the Off Coup de Coeur Francophone for three consecutive years.
Nominee with their self-entitled EP, at the first edition of the GAMIQ (Gala de l’Alternative Musicale Indépendante du Québec), for best rock ‘n’ roll album, the band’s now in the process of preparing a full length album. Stay tuned…
